At 1017 PM EDT, a line of storms capable of producing both tornadoes and straight line wind damage was located near Coopersville, or 12 miles northwest of Grand Rapids, moving southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Ottawa County, including the following locations... Wright and Conklin.
