Warning for the following rivers in Michigan...
East Branch Escanaba River at Gwinn affecting Marquette County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Branch Escanaba River at Gwinn.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning to late Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Low lying areas of Peter Nordeen Park begin
to flood
At 7.9 feet, Water reaches the bottom girder of the M-35 bridge
At 8.1 feet, Southgate drive near the old Gwinn Middle School floods
At 9.0 feet, Peter Nordeen park on right bank floods

- At 7:10 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 4.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Saturday morning to a crest of 7.3 feet Saturday evening. It
will then fall below flood stage late Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
7.9 feet on 04/17/2002.
