At 517 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles northwest of Loring to 6 miles northeast of Scopan to 7 miles northwest of Shin Pond. Movement was east at 60 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Presque Isle, Caribou, Houlton, Fort Fairfield, Limestone, Mars Hill, Hodgdon, Easton, Bridgewater, Loring, Cary Plantation, Littleton, Monticello, Blaine, New Sweden, Westfield, Connor, Caswell, Stockholm, and Hamlin. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 302 and 304. US Highway 1 between Houlton and Mars Hill, and near Caribou.
