Description:
At 900 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Newton to near Oretta to Carlyss. Movement
was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Lake Charles, Sulphur, De Ridder, Westlake, Iowa, Newton, Rosepine,
Merryville, Fenton, Reeves, Dry Creek, Singer, Moss Bluff, De Quincy,
Ragley, Fields, Bon Weir, Burkeville, Bivens, and Topsy.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 11 and 51.
Interstate 210 between mile markers 1 and 12.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
