Description: 
At 1237 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Cankton, or near Carencro, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Lafayette, Opelousas, Scott, Breaux Bridge, Rayne, Carencro, St. Martinville, Church Point, Krotz Springs, Leonville, Arnaudville, Broussard, Sunset, Port Barre, Duson, Henderson, Grand Coteau, Cankton, Cecilia, and Mire. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 90 and 118. Interstate 49 between mile markers 1 and 23.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
