Description:
At 319 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles south of Lumberton
to 8 miles south of Ponchatoula. Movement was east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Slidell, Bogalusa, Mandeville, Picayune, Covington, Poplarville, Eden
Isle, Ponchatoula, Pearl River, Abita Springs, Varnado, Madisonville,
Folsom, Sun, Lacombe, Enon, Crossroads, Stennis Space Center, Robert,
and Bush.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 259 and 273.
Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 2.
Interstate 12 between mile markers 43 and 84.
Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 15 and 26.
Interstate 59 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 11.
Interstate 59 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 42.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
