East central Clay County in north central Kansas... * Until 630 PM CDT. * At 541 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Riley, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. This storm has a history of producing tornadoes. A NWS Meteorogist reported a brief tornadoe just north of Wakefield at 535 PM. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Westmoreland, Riley, Leonardville, Olsburg, Randolph, and Tuttle Creek Lake.
