Description: 
At 1143 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 3 miles southeast of Oakley to 6 miles east of Scott State Lake. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Grinnell around 1155 PM CDT. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 75 and 94.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. This thunderstorm is producing minor accumulations of hail, which will make driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be aware of rapidly changing road conditions.
