Description:
At 1118 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a gust front with showers
behind it along a line extending from 5 miles east of Longford to
near Abilene to 3 miles west of Durham. Movement was east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Junction City, Abilene, Herington, Grandview Plaza, Chapman, Solomon,
Wakefield, Riley, Enterprise, Milford, Hope, Woodbine, Manchester,
Carlton, Latimer, Talmage, Milford Lake, Moonlight, and Burdick.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 267 and 300.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
north central Kansas.
