Description:
At 116 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles southwest of Kickapoo Reservation to 3
miles northwest of Holton to 4 miles west of Potawatomi Reservation.
Movement was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Holton, Wetmore, Mayetta, Whiting, Denison, Circleville, Netawaka,
and Potawatomi Reservation.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
northeastern Kansas.
