Southern Marion County in central Kansas... * Until 715 PM CDT. * At 617 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 miles northeast of Florence to near Peabody, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Newton, Halstead, Marion, North Newton, Sedgwick, Peabody, Cottonwood Falls, Whitewater, Strong City, Florence, Potwin, Walton, Elbing, Burns, Bazaar, Elmdale, Matfield Green, Cedar Point, Newton Airport, and Hymer.
