* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 expected.
* WHERE...In Kansas, Rawlins, Thomas, Logan, and Wichita Counties.
In Nebraska, Hitchcock County.
* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 9 AM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...If winds can remain lighter and clouds clear
then lows may temperatures may fall into the mid to upper 20s.
Instruction:
Drain in-ground sprinkler systems and cover above ground pipes.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent water pipes from freezing; insulate or drain or allow
them to drip slowly.
