Description:
At 1015 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from Atchison to Winchester to
Meriden. Movement was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Leavenworth, Weston, Dearborn, Easton, Lewis and Clark Village, De
Kalb, Iatan, Fort Leavenworth, Lowemont, Jarbalo, and Bean Lake.
This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 30 and 34.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
northeastern Kansas...and northwestern and west central Missouri.
