Description: 
At 759 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Forest City to 6 miles southeast of Denton, moving east at 70 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Wathena, Highland, Troy, Amazonia, Denton, Doniphan, Severance, Leona, Fanning, and Bendena. This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 59 and 61.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northeastern Kansas...and northwestern Missouri. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
