...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Solomon River near Niles affecting Ottawa, Saline and Dickinson Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Solomon River near Niles. * WHEN...From Friday afternoon to late Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water begins to overflow into the low portion of a cultivated field on the right bank, upstream, adjacent to the gage site. At 23.0 feet, Rural overflow begins around the community of Niles. At 24.0 feet, Low land flooding continues along the river. At 27.0 feet, Arrowhead Road west of Niles floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 28.1 feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
