Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading affecting Osage and Lyon Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Low lying areas along the river flood. At 21.0 feet, County Road Y 5 near the gage floods, 3 miles north of Reading. At 23.0 feet, Overlow on the right bank is in several swift channels over Road Y 5, 3 miles north of Reading. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 21.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.6 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
