Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...Western Atchison County in northeastern Kansas...
* WHEN...Until 845 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding possible in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 248 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Upstream rain gauges measured
nearly 8 inches of rainfall which is expected to runoff into
upstream creeks. This will cause small stream flooding. Rapid
river rises may cause flooding in the advisory area.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
