East central Johnson County in east central Iowa... * Until midnight CDT. * At 1115 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over West Branch, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... West Branch, Rochester, Buchanan, Cedar Valley, Springdale, Cedar Valley Park, and Herbert Hoover National Historic Site around 1120 PM CDT. Tipton and Cedar County Fairgrounds around 1125 PM CDT. Tipton Matthews Airport around 1130 PM CDT. Bennett and Sunbury around 1135 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include Durant and Bennett Park. This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 249 and 278.
