At 653 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Canton, or 16 miles east of Anamosa, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. However, at 653 PM CDT, hail the size of ping pong balls was reported north of Onslow. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Canton around 700 PM CDT.
