At 846 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Brighton, or 10 miles southwest of Washington, moving north at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Washington, Kalona, Wellman, Riverside, Brighton, Richland, Richmond, Keota, West Chester, Lake Darling State Park, Talleyrand, Washington County Fairgrounds, and Rubio.
