At 847 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Royal to near Albert City to Lake View, moving northeast at 65 mph. THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. Locations impacted include... Emmetsburg, Sac City, Pocahontas, Rockwell City, Lake City, Manson, Laurens, Lake View, Odebolt, Five Island Lake, Black Hawk Lake, North Twin Lake, South Twin Lake, Silver Lake, Rush Lake, Wall Lake, Schaller, Ruthven, Pomeroy, and Fonda.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for northwestern Iowa. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for west central Iowa. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant property damage.
