Description:
At 1054 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Oxford to near West Chester to Collett, moving
east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Washington, Marengo, Williamsburg, Kalona, Tiffin, Wellman, North
English, Swisher, Oxford, Brighton, Richland, South English, Parnell,
Harper, Kinross, Coppock, Amana, Conroy, Richmond, and Keota.
This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 216 and 237.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
