* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects old U.S.
Highway 61 near the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will gradually fall through the weekend,
however there may be a brief rise this weekend if this area
receives additional rainfall through Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
