Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until Saturday, April 25. * IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects old U.S. Highway 61 near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.1 feet and rising slowly. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.4 feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday, April 25. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
