Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton Counties. .Additional rainfall during the first half of this week may prolong this crest, or cause the river to rise again mid to late week. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, water affects old U.S. Highway 61 near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Thursday morning and continue falling through the weekend. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
