Description:
At 749 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Brookston, or 10 miles northeast of Otterbein, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Monticello, Brookston, Wolcott, Reynolds, Chalmers, Burnettsville,
Badger Grove, Golden Hill, Norway, Smithson, Idaville, and Cedar
Point.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 185 and 198.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
