At 326 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Wanatah, or near Valparaiso, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
La Porte, Westville, Kingsford Heights, Wanatah, Hamlet, La Crosse,
Koontz Lake, Hanna, Kingsbury, Byron, Thomaston, Pinhook, South
Center, Salem Heights, Fish Lake, South Wanatah, Tracy, Stillwell,
Rolling Prarie, and Union Mills.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
north central and northwestern Indiana.
