At 439 AM EDT/339 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking showers and a few emabedded thunderstorms along a line extending from near South Haven to 10 miles northwest of Shorewood-Tower Hill to 12 miles northwest of Beverly Shores. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. Strong uutflow winds from these showers will likely occur before any rainfall or thunderstorms. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... South Bend, Mishawaka, Michigan City, La Porte, Niles, Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Dowagiac, Westville, Buchanan, Trail Creek, Benton Heights, Fair Plain, Granger, Bridgman, New Buffalo, New Carlisle, Berrien Springs, Cassopolis, and Watervliet. This includes the following highways... Interstate 196 between mile markers 0 and 7. Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 38 and 80. Interstate 94 in Indiana between mile markers 33 and 45. Interstate 94 in Michigan between mile markers 0 and 42.
