Youngs Creek at Amity. .Heavy rainfall the second half of today has quickly brought flooding to Youngs Creek in the Amity area, in southeast Johnson County of central Indiana. Flooding is likely to persist well into the day Tuesday, and with additional rainfall expected Tuesday and Tuesday night the warning may need to be extended further. Please monitor for later updates. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Youngs Creek at Amity. * WHEN...From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Significant flooding in progress. Parks and some local roads are flooded by a foot or more of water. Agricultural flooding is noticeable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 PM EDT Monday the stage was 7.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 PM EDT Monday was 7.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.5 feet tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
