Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Fox River Lower near New Munster. * WHEN...Until Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water is up to the first floor levels of some homes in the Town of Wheatland and Village of Salem Lakes area along Riverside Drive and Shorewood Drive. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 12.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday morning and continue falling to 10.2 feet Tuesday, May 05. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.2 feet on 06/19/1996. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
