...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin...Illinois... Rock River At Fort Atkinson affecting Jefferson County. Rock River At Afton affecting Winnebago and Rock Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rock River at Afton. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Water surrounds at least 2 homes near the river in the Afton area. Numerous secondary roads in the Afton area are closed to traffic. Floodwaters affect South River Road on the south side of Janesville. Traxler Park off of Memorial Drive in Janesville is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 PM CDT Thursday was 9.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 11.7 feet Thursday, April 23.
