Description:
At 232 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Cobden, or 9 miles southeast of Carbondale, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Marion, Cobden, Goreville, Creal Springs, Lake Of Egypt Area,
Stonefort, New Burnside, and Simpson.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 24 in Illinois between Mile Markers 1 and 12.
Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 35 and 51.
