* At 352 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Godfrey,
moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Godfrey, Alton, East Alton, Wood River, Brighton, Bethalto, Dorsey,
Shipman, Bunker Hill, Prairietown, Worden, Wilsonville, Staunton,
Mount Clare, Livingston, Sawyerville, Benld, Eagarville, Gillespie
and East Gillespie.
This includes Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 33 and 37.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
