Missouri...Illinois...
Mississippi River at Hannibal.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Saverton.
* WHEN...Until late Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...At 15.5 feet, An access road to riverside raised homes on
the riverward side of the Sny levee begins to flood near this
level.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 16.0 feet and falling.
- Recent Activity...The river rose above flood stage on April 18.
It's most recent crest was near 18.7 feet on April 28.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tonight and continue falling over the following days.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
