River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Clarksville.
* WHEN...Until Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 27.2 feet, Silo Park just northwest of Clarksville off
Highway 79 begins flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 27.1 feet and falling.
- Recent Activity...The river first rose above flood stage on April
9. It crested near 29.1 feet on April 28.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
Sunday afternoon and continue falling over the coming days.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
