...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Indiana...
Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site down to
Riverton...and at Mount Carmel.
.Heavy rainfall through the first half of the week of mainly one and
half to two inches had produced minor flooding on portions of the
Wabash River. Amid a double crest...the river recently receded to
below bankfull...with current late week rainfall of up to one inch
to produce further minor flooding starting Saturday night at
Hutsonville...Riverton...and Mount Carmel.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* WHEN...From late tonight to Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18.4 feet, Pumping started at Mt. Carmel.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 PM EDT Friday /10:45 PM CDT Friday/ the stage was
18.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 19.1 feet tomorrow
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
