...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois...
Wabash River at Riverton.
.Multiple rounds of storms have moved through the area Monday,
producing around 4 inches of rain in areas. Additional storms are
possible in the following days, leading to rising river levels.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton.
* WHEN...From Tuesday evening to Wednesday, May 06.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding is in
progress. High water surrounds many river cabins. Access to most
river cabins is by boat only. Levees begin to protect farmland.
Extensive flooding of Leaverton Park occurs in Palestine, Illinois.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 PM EDT Monday /10:00 PM CDT Monday/ the stage was
9.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 17.6 feet Monday, May 04. It
will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, May 05.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
