For the Vermilion River (Illinois Basin)...including Pontiac, Leonore...flooding is possible. * WHAT...Flooding is possible. * WHERE...Vermilion River from near Pontiac downstream to IL23 near Streator, including the Pontiac gauge. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Park Street is threatened in Pontiac. Low-lying sections of Chautauqua Park are inundated in Pontiac. At 14.0 feet, Widespread areas of Chatauqua Park are inundated in Pontiac. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 13.9 feet. - Forecast...The river may crest near flood stage by early this afternoon. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
