Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Pecatonica River at Freeport affecting Stephenson County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Pecatonica River at Freeport.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning to early Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, water affects low lying sections of
Freeport mainly east of the Pecatonica River.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning to a crest of 13.2 feet tomorrow afternoon.
It will then fall below flood stage Friday night.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
