...The National Weather Service in Chicago IL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Fox River at Montgomery affecting Kane and Kendall Counties.
...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the
following rivers in Illinois...
Fox River at Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater affecting McHenry,
Kane and Lake IL Counties.
For the Fox River (Illinois)...including Algonquin Lock & Dam
tailwater, Montgomery, Dayton...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in
St. Charles, including the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Residences threatened along Oceola Drive
in Algonquin. A few residences threatened along McBridge Street in
Elgin. Jayne Street and Beach Drive threatened in Algonquin. River
Street threatened in East Dundee. Jerusha Avenue threatened in
Elgin. Fox River Trail threatened between East Dundee and Elgin.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday was 10.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise and approach
moderate flood stage tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
11.4 feet on 09/17/2019.

Instruction:
A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or
may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the
warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.
