Description:
* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts
up to 55 mph. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures 27
to 32 degrees. A hard freeze is possible from Craters of the Moon
to Mud Lake.
* WHERE...Eastern Magic Valley, Shoshone/Lava Beds, Arco/Mud Lake
Desert, Lower Snake River Plain, and Upper Snake River Plain.
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 10 PM MDT this evening. For
the Freeze Warning, from 3 AM to 9 AM MDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could make driving difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles. Unsecured objects may be blown around.
Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous
conditions for small craft. Frost and freeze conditions could kill
crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected
outdoor plumbing.
Instruction:
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Secure outdoor objects.
Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution since strong winds
and rough waves can overturn small craft.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
