At 158 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles northwest of Newport, or 17 miles northwest of Priest River, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Priest River, Newport, Nordman, Cusick, Oldtown, Beaver Creek Campground, Coolin, Usk, Dalkena, Bead Lake Campground, South Skookum Lake Campground, Browns Lake Campground, and Ruby.
