Description:
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet.
* WHERE...South and west facing reefs of Palau and Yap.
* WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Tropical Storm 06W (Jangmi) continues to
develop and move northwestward away from Koror, Palau and Yap
Proper, the monsoon tail will keep surf conditions above 9 feet
through this afternoon along south and west facing reefs.
Conditions may begin to improve as early as this evening.
Instruction:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
