At 1102 PM HST, rain rates have slightly declined over the past hour with rates around 0.5 to 1 inch per hour. Streams across Kauai remain elevated with Kuhio Highway near Hanalei River Bridge closed. Additional heavy showers moving in throughout the evening and into tomorrow morning could result in sharp rises in streams and new or worsening flooding. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas.
