At 607 PM HST, radar and automated rain gauges continue to show heavy rain falling over the north shore of Kauai at a rate of 1 to 3 inches per hour. Emergency management has reported water on Hanalei Bridge. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Kekaha, Princeville, Kilauea, Alakai Swamp Trails, Kokee State Park, Na Pali State Park, Wainiha, Haena, North Fork Wailua Trails, Waimea, Hanalei, Polihale, Hanapepe, Mana, Barking Sands, Waimea Canyon State Park, Pakala Village, Kaumakani, Eleele and Kalihiwai.
