Effective:
April 18, 2026 - 11:09pm
Expires:

Description:
* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...North facing reefs of the Marianas. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory and High Rip Current Risk, until 5 AM ChST Monday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Sinlaku continues to move away to the north-northeast, the primary swell has shifted to the north and decreased, allowing surf to fall below hazardous levels along west and south facing reefs while remaining hazardous along north facing reefs overnight. Surf is likely to further decrease along all reefs the next several days, allowing the rip current risk to drop as well.
Instruction:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
