Description:
At 820 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of showers and
strong thunderstorms centered near Snipesville, or 8 miles northeast
of Broxton, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Hazlehurst, Broxton, West Green, Pridgen, Snipesville, and Denton.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
