Relative humidity is forecast to fall to 20 to 25 percent across much of northeast Georgia this afternoon, while temperatures are forecast to be around 5 degrees warmer than Tuesday. Meanwhile, winds are expected to increase to around 10 mph this afternoon, with some gusts of 15-20 mph possible. These factors combined with very dry vegetation will result in an elevated threat for the rapid spread of wildfire across the area, especially this afternoon. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn today.
