Screven County in southeastern Georgia... * Until 800 PM EDT. * At 505 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from Herndon to Emmalane, Butts and Scarboro. These storms were nearly stationary. As much as 2 to 4 inches of rain has fallen so far and an additional 2 to 3 inches could fall through 8 PM. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Millen, Butts, Emmalane, Scarboro, Herndon, Four Points, Lincoln State Park, Thrift, Jenkins County Hospital and Rogers.
