The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Monday afternoon through Monday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Rabun and Habersham Counties. * TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Monday afternoon through Monday evening. * WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 30 mph each afternoon. * HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity of 20 to 30 percent each afternoon. * FUEL MOISTURE...Likely falling to 8 percent or lower each afternoon. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
